Brady will help Overbrook team recover stolen equipment
It was just this morning we shared the story of the Overbrook Monarchs Youth Athletic Association. As they gear up for summer training and practices, the organization’s storage trailer was broken into over the weekend. The teams are down about $20,000 in equipment.
But we may have on our hands the fastest happyily-ever-after story ever. Congressman Bob Brady says he’ll help the West Philadelphia organization get its equipment back.
Brady tells KYW he’ll help raise funds to get the teams ready for their August practices. If he can’t raise the money? He says he’ll foot the bill himself.
