Boeing awarded Delaware River contract

    The Philadelphia Business Journal reports Boeing Co. has won a $4.4 million multi-year contract from Delaware County.

    According to the report, the contract will be for work to install a surveillance and monitoring system on parts of the Delaware River.

    The system will be operated near Marcus Hook, PA; the Commodore Barry Bridge which connects Chester with Bridgeport, New Jersey and Hog Island.

    According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the contract calls for Boeing to design, buy, install, integrate, test and maintain the system.  Boeing will also train law enforcement and emergency services personnel to use it.
