Body of missing NJ girl believed found

Officials say an autopsy will be conducted Tuesday to determine whether a body found in a recycling container in Clayton is that of a missing 12-year-old southern New Jersey girl.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s office said in a statement early Tuesday that the body found in Clayton at about 10 p.m. Monday has been preliminarily identified as Autumn Pasquale.

Pasquale was reported missing from her Clayton home at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, and had been the subject of a massive search by hundreds of law enforcement agencies and volunteers.

Officials did not say exactly where the body was found. They said Pasquale’s family has been notified of the discovery.
