Blondell Reynolds Brown proposes school bus advertising

Philadelphia Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown has another idea for how to generate revenue for the School District of Philadelphia.

After proposing last week that bars be allowed to stay open an extra hour, Brown today will flesh out her plan to allow advertising on district school buses.
Much like the money the extra per-drink tax would generate, the ad revenue would go toward the financially struggling district.

CBS3 reports alcohol, tobacco, political and possibly other types of ads would be prohibited.

Like the last-call bill, this one also requires addition legislation at the state level.
