Blatstein’s ‘T Street at The Playground’ opens Friday in Atlantic City [photos]

After months in the making, the public will get its official first taste of T Street at the Playground, this Friday when the eight bars and music venues will officially open their doors.

T Street is the first phase of redevelopment for the space formerly known as The Pier Shops at Caesars, from Bart Blatstein, CEO of Tower Investments. Located on the first floor, just beyond the remaining shops of the Pier, T Street’s vintage-style bars, lead out to a 13,500 square foot concert venue, and beer garden overlooking the ocean.Inspired by Memphis’ Beale Street and 6th Street in Austin, Texas, every bar on T Street will feature live music.

Bo’s, a bar named after developer Blatstein himself, will feature dueling pianos. The Bluey, an Irish pub decorated with Jameson Barrels, will feature mostly country acts.

1921, a retro-style speakeasy with a nod to the crown, honors Atlantic City’s Miss America Pageant history. It features crystal chandeliers, classic cocktails, and a bar that was built in the 20s. Acts in 1921 will play the oldies.

Chef Jose Garces was enlisted to create the food and beverage offerings; all designed for guests to pass freely through each venue, food and drink in-hand.

T Street at The Playground opens to the public at 5PM on Friday, June 26th.
