Bitter cold blasts in Saturday night

Today’s going to feel like the tropics compared to what’s in store for tomorrow. Barnegat Bay Island, NJ captured today’s sunrise from the boardwalk at Arnold Avenue in Point Beach.

For today, expect mostly sunny skies, a northwest breeze, and highs in the middle to upper 40s. The fun begins tomorrow.

A gusty northwest flow from Canada will deliver bitterly cold temperatures tonight through Monday. Snow flurries are possible tonight and tomorrow.

Depending on the final track of the nor’easter for Tuesday night into Wednesday, heavy rain is possible, serving to disrupt an already hectic travel period.
