Biden scorns Phillies with a Yankees meet-and-greet
Joe Biden really really wanted to meet the Yankees. The vice president and supposed Phillies fan caused a ruckus Wednesday when he wanted to meet the New York team before the game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
As Biden was escorted by Secret Service through the visiting team’s clubhouse at Steinbrenner Field, the Blue Jays’ bus had to circle the stadium. All so the VP could have a meet-and-greet with the Yankees, as the Toronto Star reports (hat tip to WHYY’s Mark Eichmann for spotting this one).
