Bicycle Coalition wants volunteers for bike counts

Whether you love bikes or hate them, boy does the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia have a job for you.

The BCGP is looking for volunteers to count bikes to get a sense of the city’s bike population, its gender and its helmet wearers. And here’s where the hate part comes in. The counters are also tracking bad behavior among cyclists like sidewalk-riding and wrong-way bikers.

Your job will be to stand on a corner for 90 minutes with a clipboard looking official and keeping tabs on the bike culture. The data will be used to help the BCGP with advocacy.
