Berlin, N.J., students raise money for Camden statue repair

    Amid collections for a struggling Camden parish and holiday cookie donations, students at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional School managed to raise more than $1,000 for another cause.

    CBS3 reports students at the Berlin, N.J., school collected $1,100 in coins to help repair the Virgin Mary statue atop Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. The statue was damaged by summer storms.

    Repairs on the statue haven’t begun yet.
