Bear found in tree is captured in N.J.

A 2-year-old bear spotted in a tree in East Brunswick has been tranquilized and relocated.

Detective Sgt. Kevin Zebro says the bear was first seen in the front yard of a home around 7:50 a.m. yesterday by a passing motorist. It was later seen by police in a wooded area. It was captured around 2:30 p.m.

The Asbury Park Press reports that the bear was previously tagged and is to be relocated to a sanctuary at Round Valley Reservoir in Hunterdon County.
