No-parking restriction could soon be lifted on W. Coulter St. block

Eighth District City Councilwoman Cindy Bass introduced an ordinance Thursday that would allow for parking on the block of West Coulter Street between Greene Street and Wayne Avenue.

There is currently a “no parking anytime” restriction on the north side of the street, which is located in Germantown. If approved, that restriction would be lifted, a move which neighbors have been pushing since before Bass was elected.

Introduced at Thursday’s City Council meeting, the ordinance was referred to the streets and services committee where a hearing will be scheduled.

It’s not expected that the ordinance would be up for full City Council vote for at least a month.
