Bar mitzvah project helps lighten electrical load for local charity

    What can you do to help your community? That’s the question many Jewish youth, including 13-year-old Ari Bortman, face when preparing for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

    Ari’s plan was ambitious: to outfit the warehouse of a local charitable organization with a solar roof.

    He and his family completed the installation on the roof of the warehouse for the Jewish Relief Agency earlier today, and he spoke with NewsWorks Tonight Host Dave Heller.
