Bamboozle festival not returning to Asbury Park

Officials say the three-day Bamboozle music festival will not take place in the city where it began a decade ago.

Some 90,000 people in May went to Asbury Park’s beaches to see Bon Jovi, the Foo Fighters and Skrillex as the headliners. But ticket sales fell short and the promoter didn’t make a profit.

City Manager Terence Reidy tells the Asbury Park Press although Bamboozle won’t take place in the city, the city and promoter will work to try to bring other events.

Live Nation hasn’t decided where the next bamboozle will take place.
