Baled eagle recovering after found floating on Delaware River

A young bald eagle is said to be recovering after it was found floating on the Delaware River on the Fourth of July.

The Wilmington News Journal reports the eagle suffered from foot injuries, which will require her to live in a zoo as opposed to the wild.

According to the report, the Tri-State Bird Rescue is now seeking a home in a zoo or other educational facility for the bald eagle.

A veterinarian involved in treating the bald eagle tells the Wilmington News Journal the eagle is building up her strength and is eating well.
