Authorities release photos of Toms River bank robbery suspects

    The Toms River Police Department continues to investigate two bank robberies that occurred within 90 minutes of each other Friday.

    The first robbery occurred around 4:30 p.m. at TD Bank at 10 Mule Road, when a man handed a note to a teller demanding money and then fled on foot, police said. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a green jacket with the hood up, a wool hat, and sunglasses.

    While detective were investigating the TD Bank robbery, police were summoned to Santander Bank at 190 Route 37 for another robbery, police said. The suspect, who fled on foot, is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s. 

    It is unknown if the incidents are connected, police said.
