Auditions are scheduled Monday for youths seeking roles in the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Pinocchio, which will be performed April 26 at St. Luke’s Church in Germantown.
Taking place from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. James School, located at 3217 W. Clearfield St. in the city’s Allegheny West section, the auditions are for students from kindergarten to the 12th grade.
An estimated 50 to 60 youths will be cast to appear in the show.
“This is a group audition. No advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts,” according to the audition notice.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre is a Montana-based non-profit, the members of which travel the country annually for week-long residencies that result in plays being performed by youths in those areas.
This residency was arranged by the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania’s office of family and young adult ministries, with help from St. James School
Performances are scheduled for 3 and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at St. Luke’s Church, 5421 Germantown Ave.
