Atlantic City carjacking suspect due in court

    Update, 2 p.m. Phillip Byrd has been held on $1 million bail on murder and other charges.

    Original report Phillip Byrd is due in court today after being arrested last night in connection with a fatal carjacking over the weekend in Atlantic City.

    Police arrested Byrd at his home in Camden, the Associated Press reports, after they linked the 20-year-old and two others to a stolen car. He, Eric Darden and Raheem Simmons are accused of eyeing other potential victims before settling on Sunil Rattu and Radha Ghetia at the Trump Taj Mahal Resort Casino Sunday. Rattu died from gunshot wounds and Ghetia is recovering.

    Darden and Simmons remain at large.
