Asbury Park’s first craft brewery opens

    A packed house celebrated the grand opening of a craft brewery last night in Asbury Park.

    Dark City Brewing Company is now pouring specialty beers in its tap room at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Main Street in the City by the Sea. 

    According to the website of the city’s first craft brewery, the management’s goal is offer “unique and eccentric” craft beers, reflecting the community’s creativity. 

    “This city is bursting at the seams with innovative cuisines, music, art galleries galore and so much more. We want to salute the creativity in this community,” according to the website.

    To honor the local innovation and artistic vibe, the tap room features rotating local art and murals. 

    Dark City Brewing Company is currently offering four beer choices at varying pour sizes and tours of its production area.
