Are Philadelphia’s red-light cameras in jeopardy?

KYW reports Philadelphia’s red-light cameras could be in jeopardy if the state can’t expand the program.

Recently granted a six-month extension, the camera program targets red light-runners by snapping photos of their license plates and mailing drivers their tickets.
A bill to expand the program to other Pennsylvania cities remains stalled, and if Philadelphia is the only participant, the state is less likely to extend its support for the program.

WHYY/NewsWorks’ Tom MacDonald is looking into the details.
