Archdiocese will pay Lynn’s attorney fees

Msgr. William Lynn will allow the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to pay his legal fees, despite a warning from the judge. Lynn appeared in court today, where the judge warned him he may need to lay blame on the Archdiocese to defend himself, the Associated Press reports.

Lynn said he understood and accepts the arrangement. He faces up to 28 years in prison for allegedly transferring sexually abuse priests to other parishes.

WHYY’s Susan Philips will have the full story later.
