Arcadia University president is out, search for replacement begins

The president of Arcadia University is out and the school just outside Philadelphia says it will begin the search for a replacement.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports the last day for Carl “Tobey” Oxholm III was Friday, after less than two years in the position. The newspaper says the university made the announcement in an email to faculty Monday night, but did not give a reason why.

A university spokesman declined comment on the change. A message left for Oxholm by the newspaper was not immediately returned.

The school says Nicolette DeVille Christensen will serve as chief operating officer and handle all financial and administrative duties until a new president is selected. She’s the vice president and executive director of the College of Global Studies.
