040414martzOpening Reception: George Martz: ‘Landscapes of the Mind: A Glimpse of Reality’, April 4th

Based on real places, George’s paintings are transformed by his imagination and from inspiration he finds “between his ears”. George portrays stunning horizons developed in subdued colors with airy clouds and striking reflections of light. His most recent work includes larger scale canvases. Before retiring, George taught art at Tower Hill School for 27 years and still teaches a volunteer art class at the Methodist Country House in Greenville. The Station Gallery.

Experience the rich cultures of India and Pakistan with traditional South Asian performances and activities! This festival includes North Indian music by sitar player Allyn Mine and tabla player Sudev Sheth, South Asian Classical and Bollywood dance performances by the Jhankaar Bollywood Dance Troupe, and a South Asian fashion show hosted by Dr. Juhi Jagiasi. Additional activities include art projects, henna art, calligraphy demonstrations, and a display of Pakistani carpets and South Asian-themed artwork created by Delaware high school students.
