Philadelphia Science Festival Science Carnival
Saturday, April 21. Logan Circle. 11am-4pm. The Philadelphia Science Festival is back for its second year, and for the next week at 100 locations citywide science takes center stage on all issues from food to fracking, space to sustainability. Head over to Logan Square Saturday for a daylong science fair packed with exhibits, family activities, entertainment and more. For a full calendar click here. Public Art Pathway
Saturday, April 21, 11am-4pm. Benjamin Franklin Parkway, start at LOVE Park. The Fairmount Park Art Association invites you to rediscover public art this spring. On Saturday, follow giant balloons down the parkway to marking 12 of its outdoor sculptures by artists like Robert Indiana to Mark di Suervo. Free.
Picnic for the Planet in Clark Park
Sunday, April 22, Noon-4pm. Clark Park, Chester Avenue between 43rd and 45th streets. To celebrate Earth Day, The Nature Conservancy is trying to set a world record for the most people picnicking in 24 hours. Clark Park is in on the Picnic for the Planet action. The first 100 picnickers can enjoy lunch courtesy of Elevation Burger.
