The Daily Kos poll also asked voters their opinions on the race for Delaware’s lone seat in the U.S. House.  Democratic candidate John Carney holds the lead against every Republican he was pitted against in the poll.  Carney leads Republican candidate and political newcomer Fred Cullis 50% to 26%, with 24% undecided.

Voters were also asked how they viewed Carney versus several hypothetical candidates.  Carney held his own against former state senator Charlie Copeland, with a 46% to 29% advantage.  He also fared well against Ferris Wharton, the man who narrowly lost the race for Attorney General to Beau Biden in 2006.  Carney held a 45% to 35% lead over Wharton with 20% undecided.

600 likely voters were polled by phone from February 22 -24.
