Another Northwest Philadelphia daycare center burglarized [video]

Philadelphia Police have released surveillance footage of a pair of unknown burglars breaking into an East Germantown daycare center early Tuesday to steal a $1,000 copper pipe before fleeing.

The burglary, in which the men though cut a locked door at the Ogontz Academy Day Care Center with bolt cutters, occurred around 12:15 a.m. Monday.

The suspects are described as black men in their twenties.

One has a medium build and goatee, and was wearing a knit ski hat, hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans and high work boots at the time.

The other has a stocky build and full beard, and was wearing a checkered hooded jacket, dark jeans and work boots.

Police ask anyone with information about the case, or suspects, to call Northwest Detective Division at (215) 686-3353/54 or the tipsline at (215) 686-TIPS, text a tip to PPD TIP (773847) or send it in via the department’s website.

The burglary occurred the day after police arrested a West Duval Street man in connection with a burglary at a Germantown daycare center.
