Amoroso’s deliveries resume for now

Deliveries have returned to normal at Amoroso’s, where drivers went on strike yesterday, but that could all change again later this week.

A hearing is set for Thursday to determine if the strike can legally continue.

Drivers expected to be laid off Sunday night if they didn’t comply with the company’s plan to transition to independently operated routes, but as the Inquirer reports, employees received a notice that the deadline for driver to buy their routes is now June 27.

Layoff notices were sent out in April.
