‘Amityville Horror’ house on the market in Toms River
First the Marley & Me house went up for sale, now another movie set home is on the market.
If you’re looking to buy an as-seen-on-the-silver-screen house, but wanted something a little scarier than Marley & Me‘s Chester County stone house, you might be interested to know the Amityville Horror house is on the market in Toms River. But it’s not so scary looking anymore.
The 10-room colonial is going for $1.35 million, the Asbury Park Press reports. Though it was built in the ’20s and served as a horror film set, the owners say the place isn’t haunted. And it doesn’t look the same, either. A superstructure was built around the home to give it the look you saw on screen, and the house was renovated in 2003.
