Alicia Keys to speak Monday night at Obama campaign ‘Women Vote 2012 Summit’

Philadelphia Weekly’s Philly Now blog is reporting that singer Alicia Keys will be among the women speaking at the Pennsylvania Convention Center tonight for the Obama campaign’s “Women Vote 2012 Summit.”

She joins White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to talk about the president’s record on women’s issues, including paycheck fairness, health care, including birth control, abortion rights, and education.

The summit, which is traveling among cities in swing states across the country, is meant to give local women a chance to hear directly from senior campaign officials and leaders about issues that are important to them and the difference between Obaba’s and Mitt Romney’s ideas.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the event is open to the public.
