Alec Baldwin donates to N.J. center hit by storm

Actor Alec Baldwin is donating $250,000 to help repair a southern New Jersey community center that was wrecked by Superstorm Sandy.

Baldwin previously posted on Twitter that he was directed to the Mill Creek Community Center in Stafford Township by Gov. Chris Christie’s office.

Township business administrator Jim Moran tells the Asbury Park Press flooding from the storm surge destroyed the structure. Moran says the estimated cost of repairs is $1.6 million.
