Air show underway in Ocean City

Very rarely do most people get the chance to see a Mitchell World War II B 25 Bomber in person, but today, visitors to the Jersey Shore will get to see the historic plane first-hand.

The 26th annual Ocean City Airport Festival is already underway and is scheduled to continue until 3 p.m. at the airport.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the rare Mitchell aircraft, known best for its flexibility and durability during the war, will take off from the airport at the end of the festival.

Several other features will be on display today, including a kite display by Air Circus of Ocean City.
