After flooding, Hersheypark could re-open by the weekend
After heavy storms and flooding tore through the area last week, officials at Hersheypark say the popular destination could reopen as early as this weekend.
According to The Patriot-News, park officials are now working to cleanup park grounds and rides after Tropical Storm Lee moved through the area.
The park was scheduled to switch to its fall schedule of operations on Labor Day, remaining open only during the weekends. The storm forced park officials, however, to close the park this past weekend.
Crews are now working to clear flood damaged walls and cleanup rides at the 100-acre park.
It’s possible the park may remain closed this weekend, according to The Patriot-News.
