Acting PSU president puts McQueary on administrative leave

Penn State is down another football coach after interim President Rod Erickson announced today Mick McQueary has been put on paid administrative leave, the Associated Press reports.

The assistant coach was already planning on skipping tomorrow’s home against Nebraska after multiple threats came in following the firing of longtime coach Joe Paterno.

McQeary’s name has come up multiple times in the days since the university child abuse scandal came to light; he testified in a grand jury report to witnessing former football defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky abusing a young boy in a campus shower. McQueary reported the incident to the athletic department, but not authorities.
