Ackerman says she’s not leaving the school district

Stand down, outraged staffers and hopeful parents. Arlene Ackerman says she’s not going anywhere.

WHYY’s Tom MacDonald reports from today’s special meeting of the School Reform Commission, where he says the Philadelphia superintendent won’t budge.

“I’m here,” Ackerman said at the meeting. She’s got a contract with the district to see through her “Imagine 2014” initiative.

Tom will have the full story later today.
