Accident closes Hooper Avenue in Brick

    UPDATE: Vilman Nieto, 25, of Brick suffered internal injuries are being struck on Hooper Avenue in front of Brick Estates by a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Carole Kenworthy, 54, of Brick, who was uninjured, police said. Kenworthy struck the Nieto in the left lane, according to police. Police ask that any witnessess call (732) 262-1140.

    Police are investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a struck pedestrian in Brick this evening. 

    A driver struck at least one person on Hooper Avenue near Outback Steakhouse around 6:00 p.m, according to an emergency services source.

    A medevac responded to a nearby parking lot to transport a seriously injured victim to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. 

    Hooper Avenue is closed near the scene for an accident investigation.
