Frigid air remains bottled up in Canada as we begin the first full week in December.

The week will feature high temperatures mainly in the 50s, with potentially 60 degrees by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

As an added bonus for outdoor weather lovers, a mostly sunny sky is the predominate forecast through Sunday.

Today is likely the warmest day through Wednesday, with highs in the middle 50s. We’ll drop down to around 50 for tomorrow, rising back to the lower 50s for Wednesday.

The warming trend will continue from there, slowly increasing to 60 degrees or more for the weekend, or at least 10 degrees above normal. As of now, Sunday looks like the warmest day of the week.

A ridge over the eastern states will allow the increasing warmth to push north toward late week, according to the National Weather Service.
