Abington Police reach fundraising goal, chief shaves mustache

    CopStache is over, so Abington residents can stop giving their officers funny looks. The police department’s month-long challenge to raise $10,000 held its grand finale Friday with a party and some razors.

    Officers can now stop growing their mustaches, which helped them raise money for the Abington Police Athletic League and the Abington Township Police Association scholarship funds. Chief William Kelly seemed to be in good spirits as his mustache of 38 years was shaved.
