Abington Hospital introduces sextuplets

Welcome Emma, Samantha, Olivia, John, Patrick and Connor. They’re the six newest Delaware Valley residents, and they share the same birthday: June 1.

Abington Memorial Hospital shared the babies’ names today during a news conference to introduce the parents of the region’s latest set of sextuplets.

WHYY Health & Science reporter Taunya English was at the announcement today where parents Stacey and Brandon Carey of Feasterville, Bucks County, were introduced. Weighing between 1 and 2 pounds each, the babies are in intensive care after being born prematurely at 27 weeks. The Associated Press reports the couple also has a 15-month-old daughter. Taunya will have more details for us later.
