A NEW Taste of Germantown in Freedom’s Backyard!

If you’ve ever wondered where you could grab a bite or asked yourself where to get healthy eats in Germantown, then this event is for you!

As a way to address tourist requests, introduce Germantown chefs to the community and learn about where to find healthy food options, the Germantown Historical Society will host their first ever A New Taste of Germantown on September 8th from 5-7p.m.

With a new merger, partnership consortium,  and less nostalgia, the Germantown Historical Society is facing forward and welcoming the future of bright ideas and innovative programming.  “Germantown’s best days are ahead of it and not behind it” is how Barbara Hogue of the Germantown Historical Society expressed the marking of this event. It’s the start of a gastronomic experience that weaves the richness of the old with the deliciousness of the new.

Come out and celebrate the historic treasures of Germantown while sipping cocktails and savoring delectable foods from some of the neighborhood’s best chefs.  You will see and enjoy samples from:

    Germantown Cricket Club

    Linda’s Flower Cafe

    Nile Cafe

    Susan McLellan Plaisted, 17th & 18th century

    Earth’s Elements Foods & Products

If you want to be a part of this groundbreaking event, please visit their website and RSVP. Invest in advance tickets for $60.00 or go VIP for $150.00. All proceeds from this fundraising event support the educational efforts of Historic Germantown which serves 4,000 neighborhood children each year.
