A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for late tonight until early Friday

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. today until 2 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The impacted areas include the Delaware and Raritan bays and the Delaware and New Jersey oceanfront.

Widespread minor flooding is expected during high tide on the oceanfront and the Raritan Bay (between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. today) and later on the Delaware Bay and the back bays, the advisory states.

“Roadways that are susceptible to tidal flooding should flood later tonight. Parking lots and low lying areas susceptible to tidal flooding might also flood,” the National Weather Service advises.
