9/11 10 years ago: Thousands pay tribute at Shanksville crash site

Thousands of people made their way down the stretch of road in Shanksville, Pennsylvania towards the small site where Flight 93, carrying 40 passengers and crew members, crashed 10 years ago.

NewsWorks.org has put together several photos from yesterday’s tribute, in which former U.S. Presidents along with Vice President Biden paid tribute to the victims of the crash at the site’s new monument.

Update, 12:30 p.m. President Obama visited Shanksville and met with family members of the victims of Flight 93.  Earlier today, the President, alongside former president George W. Bush, honored victims at the site of the World Trade Center in New York.
