9-year-old trains for marathon run in Antarctica

Would you run 26 miles? In Antarctica?

No matter your age, running a marathon is a challenge. Now imagine running it in the coldest place on Earth: for a cause, of course.

According to CBS3, a 9-year-old from West Chester, Pennsylvania is training for a marathon run being held in Antarctica in February. He’s doing it as a way to raise money for his family’s charity, to provide coats to keep children warm.

Medical professionals advise against it, citing the mental and physical tax it comes along with running such distances and recommend shorter distances for children.
