    After storms packing strong winds, lightning and downpours swept through the region last night, nearly 100 homes and businesses in South Jersey are without power, reports The Press of Atlantic City.

    After storms packing strong winds, lightning and downpours swept through the region last night, nearly 100 homes and businesses in South Jersey are without power, reports The Press of Atlantic City.

    Nearly 750 homes and businesses are without power statewide. 

    The Red Cross is trying to get the word out to make sure residents are prepared for this summer storm season.

    WDEL shares some advice from the Red Cross

    “In the event that a storm would preclude us from having power or having access to cooking, such as stoves and things like that, so having an adequate supply of food, water, for all members of our family, including pets, as well as battery-operated items such as flashlights and radios to be safe and stay in touch with what’s happening out there,” said Red Cross CEO Patrick Delaney.
