5th District: Girl suffers concussion after attack on Main Street

5th District crime blotter from Jan. 24 to Jan. 30 

Jan. 24, 2011 

7100 block Ridge Ave. – employee said someone entered the Dunkin Donuts, made a threat with a knife and trashed the store after ordering food at the drive-thru window. No one was injured and security tape is unavailable.

Jan. 25, 2011 

6900 block Ridge Ave. – complainant said someone snatched her purse shortly after she stepped off the bus. Offender fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Jan. 26, 2011 

400 block Cresson St. – complainant said someone stole all four tires from his 2009 Nissan between 6:15 p.m. Jan. 25 and 7:20 a.m. Jan.26.

200 block Osborn St. – iPod Touch, Garmin GPS and $100 were stolen from a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Complainant said the car was unlocked at the time.

Jan. 27, 2011 

4100 block Terrace St. – iPod Nano and Nike backpack stolen from an unlocked 2002 Pontiac Grand Am.

Jan. 28, 2011 

6900 block Ridge Ave. – store security said someone entered the Shop-rite and attempted to steal various items from the shelves. The offender was arrested before exiting the supermarket and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

Jan. 28, 2011 

4300 block Cresson St. – backpack containing clothing, various pieces of jewelry, watches and prescriptions pills was stolen outside the location. Complainant said she left the bag unattended there.

4200 block Main St. – complainant said a group of girls punched and kicked her in the head several times. Complainant, who suffered a concussion, was taken to the hospital.

100 block Connaroe St. – complainant said someone stole four wheels and rims from his 2009 Honda Civic around 11:25 p.m. Jan. 28.

400 block Green Lane – three guitars stolen from the property. Complainant said an acquaintance saw his roommate taking the items from the house.

100 block Green Lane – complainant said a cab driver hit him on the back of the head with a lug wrench following a fare dispute. The offender fled the scene in his cab. Complainant was taken to the hospital and treated for a small cut on his head.

Jan. 30, 2011 

3900 block Terrace St. – Garmin GPS and six CDs were stolen from a 2006 Toyota. Complainant said his car doors were locked and the alarm was set.

300 block Fountain St. – 2001 Toyota Celica stolen between 2-11:40 a.m. Jan. 30.

400 block Conarroe St. – Garmin GPS was stolen from a 2000 Honda Civic.
