– Post-game fireworks, patriotic jersey auction, hot dog eating contest

SATURDAY, JULY 3rd
4th of July Celebration
Killens Pond State Park in Felton, 3—5 p.m.
Come celebrate Independence Day with patriotic themed crafts, face-painting, tie-dying, and much more! The cost is $5 per person and all activities will begin at the nature center.
Laurel Independence Day Celebration
Laurel, All-Day
Prayer breakfast followed by parade in town at 10 a.m. The night is concluded with a fireworks show. Free.
Biggs Kids: Firecracker Crowns
Biggs Museum of American Art, Dover. 2—3 p.m.
Bring your children to the Biggs Museum of Art to create crowns to wear on the Fourth of July! For ages 5-10 and the cost is free.
American Celebration
Brandywine Park Zoo in Wilmington, 10 a.m.—3:30 p.m. (July 3-4)
Show your American pride this weekend by wearing red, white, and blue to the zoo! Enjoy wildly patriotic games, crafts, live animal presentations, and more in honor of our troops present and past! Free with paid admission to the zoo. Free zoo admission for military personnel showing their military ID and their immediate family.
July 4th Holiday: The All-American Pea Patch Family Picnic

Bring your picnic basket or pick up lunch at the concession stand, and join us this Fourth of July weekend for an old-fashioned family picnic. We’ll have lots of old-fashioned games for both young and old, like trap ball and graces, and plenty of picnic tables are available for your family feast.

Bethany Beach Fourth of July Festival

Enjoy fireworks on the beach July 4th night and come out the following day at noon for an Independence Day Parade. Free.
Dover 4th of July Celebration
Dover City Hall Plaza, 1 p.m.
Come to the state’s capital for a full day of historic tours, games, music, and more! The night is capped off with a tremendous fireworks show at 9:20 p.m. Visit the event website for the full schedule of activities. Free.
Rehoboth Fireworks
Rehoboth Beach, 9:15 p.m.
Find your spot in the sand or on the boardwalk and enjoy the fireworks show beginning around 9:15. After the fireworks display, musical entertainment will be provided by the Funsters at the Rehoboth Bandstand. Free.
Old-Fashioned Fourth of July
Lewes Beach, 9 a.m.—5 p.m.
Come out to Lewes for old fashioned kid’s games beginning at 9, the decorated boat parade at 2 p.m. and the annual Lewes Doo-Dah Parade at 5 p.m. Free.
Middletown Fourth of July
Silver Lake Park in Middletown, Dusk.
Bring your lawn chairs and get to the park early because this event is popular! Free.
Fireworks and Fountains Show
Longwood Gardens near Kennett Square, 9:15 p.m.
Salute America and Longwood founder Pierre S. du Pont with Founder’s Favorites, a dazzling program featuring an eclectic mix of patriotic, organ and classical music. Tickets are available online now and the cost is $18-$38.
Fourth of July Celebration and Old Fashioned Picnic
Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park at the Christina River, Wilmington. 6—10 p.m.
Come out for a night of games, skating, food, music and more down at the Wilmington Riverfront. Patriotic music will be played from 8:30-9:45 by the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and the Delaware Valley Chorale. A fireworks show will commence after the concert. Free.
Liberty Day and Fireworks
University of Delaware Athletic Complex, Newark. 6—9:30 p.m.
Join the Parks & Recreation Department for a fun filled 4th with live entertainment, crafters, community information, food vendors and Fireworks. Free
Summer Concert Series
Bellevue State Park in Wilmington, 6:30 p.m.
Chorduroy, a local band based out of Newark will be playing a show at the Bellevue Band Shell. Concert is free, but state park entrance fees are in effect.
July 4th Concert!
Bethany Beach Bandstand, 7:30 p.m.
U.S. Army’s Downrange will be playing American favorites throughout the evening with a fireworks show starting at dusk. Concert and spectacle are free of charge!
THURSDAY, JULY 8th
Summer Concert Series
Bellevue State Park in Wilmington, 6:30 p.m.
The 287th Army Band will be playing your favorite patriotic music and traditional marches, wrapping up the holidays.
