39th Police District: Where Facebook disputes turn violent

This list covers Feb. 24 – March 1, 2012.

Feb. 24, 2012

400 block W. Bringhurst St. – Complainant said her boyfriend choked her during an argument over Facebook.

4400 block N. Gratz St. – Complainant said three bullets flew through a front window while she was sitting in the living room with her aunt. There were no reported injuries.

3600 block N. 21st St. – Copper, water heater, plumbing, cabinets, doors and drywall were stolen from the property.

3000 block Judson St. – Complainant said his girlfriend hit him several times in the heads and hands with a broom during an argument over their relationship. Offender was gone before police arrived.

2900 block N. Broad St. – Complainant said a man robbed him at the location. Offender ran off with a cell phone and $4.

2200 block W. Lehigh Ave. – Complainant said four men robbed him at the location. Police saw the offenders punch the complainant in the face, knock him to the ground and reach into his pockets. Offenders ran upon police approach. All four were stopped and arrested following a foot pursuit.

Feb. 25, 2012

400 block W. School House Lane – Complainant said her son struck her over the head with a step stool during a dispute over smoking PCP. Offender was arrested.

300 block Hansberry St. – Copper tubing stolen from the property.

5400 block Wissahickon Ave. – Three pairs of prescription glasses, radar detector, Tom-Tom navigation system and a set of keys were stolen from a 2005 Toyota 4Runner.

Feb. 26, 2012

3500 block Conrad St. – 1999 Honda Civic stolen.

Manheim St. / Wayne Ave. – Complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint while he was sitting in a car. Complainant said one of the offenders reached into the car and grabbed the keys and $10 from his pocket. Complainant said one of the offenders punched him in the mouth when he got out of his car and demanded the keys back. Offender threw keys on the ground and then fled.

100 block Apsley St – Copper piping stolen from the property.

500 block W. Clapier St. – 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen.

3400 block Cresson St. – Toshiba flatscreen TV and two laptops stolen from the property.

5400 block Morris St. – 2004 Audi A6 stolen.

Feb. 27, 2012

3900 block Vaux St. – Five gold necklaces stolen from the property.

3100 block N. Spangler St. – $15,000 stolen from the property.

4200 block Wissahickon Ave. – Book bag, iPod Touch and a Metro PCS cell phone stolen from the property between 3-6 pm. Feb. 24.

2800 block N. 26th St. – Gun stolen from the property between 2-7 p.m. April 11, 2011.

Feb. 28, 2012

3000 block Midvale Ave. – GPS and gold earrings were stolen from a 2002 Subaru Outback.

3400 block W. Coulter St. – Apple laptop stolen from the property.

5200 block Wayne Ave. – Complainant said her boyfriend punched and slapped her in the face, head and neck several times. Offender also body slammed and choked the complainant. Complainant said she lost consciousness during the incident.

1400 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Complainant said a known acquaintance raped her.

3300 block N. Smedley St. – A man was arrested after pointing a black shotgun at the complainant and threatening to kill her.

3000 block N. 26th St. – Gateway computer and a 46-inch Vizio TV were stolen from the property.

2700 block N. Ringgold St. – Rigid power snake (a professional plumbing tool) stolen from the property.

Feb. 29, 2012

200 block W. Coulter St – Complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint while he was in a car. Offenders stopped the complainant’s car, opened the driver side door and pulled the complainant out. Offenders then repeatedly pistol whipped complainant in the head and face. Offenders then fled on foot with an iPhone and $54.

3000 block School House Lane – 2004 Nissan Armada stolen.

1700 block W. Tioga St. – Touch screen CD player/radio stolen from a 2002 Mercury Sable.

2800 block N. 17th St. – Complainant said two women kicked and punched her during a fight. Complainant said she blacked out during the incident. When she came to, complainant was arrested and taken to the hospital.

March 1, 2012

5000 block McKean Ave. – Complainant said a known offender stabbed him multiple times with a knife during a dispute. Offender was arrested.

1500 block W. Ontario St. – Two DVD players, jewelry, purses, deep fryer, makeup and perfume were stolen from the property.

3800 block N. 19th St. – Wedding band, engagement ring and two jean jackets were stolen from a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica.

3900 block N. 16th St. – Two ceiling lamps were stolen from the property.
