39th Police District: Where a student gets surgery after being assaulted by a teacher in school

January 6, 2011

400 block Winona St. – complainant said her son grabbed a gun and threatened to shoot her during a dispute. Offender fled in a Ford Ranger after police were called.

1800 block W. Tioga St. – HP laptop and a medical bag containing medical files and records were stolen from a 2004 Saturn.

1600 block Staub St. – complainant said a stranger tried to rape her after breaking into her home. Police later spotted the man standing outside naked. He was arrested after both the complainant and her son identified him as the offender.

1700 block W. Juniata St. – complainant said her ex-boyfriend raped her at gunpoint after a violent argument.

2200 block W. Venango St. – HP computer stolen from the property between 3:30-5 p.m. Dec. 3. Complainant said she had company and didn’t realize the item was missing.

2700 block W. Sterner St. – complainant said two men shot at him at the location between 6:30-7 p.m. Jan. 5.

January 7, 2011

2000 block W. Cambria St. – kitchen cabinet, stove, living room tiles, copper pipes and a refrigerator were stolen from the property between 10-11 p.m. Jan. 6.

2900 block N. Broad St. – Complainant said a man robbed her at the location. Offender ran off with a Samsung cell phone and a Sony cyber shot camera.

1900 block W. Cambria St. – 2001 Mercury Sable stolen.

January 8, 2011

3800 block N. Broad St. – 32″ Magnavox LCD TV stolen from the property between 7-8 a.m. Jan. 8.

1600 block W. Venango St. – city-issued duty holster, nylon web belt, handcuff case, handgun with ammunition, electronic control weapon, another holster and two speed loaders were stolen from the property.

January 9, 2011

1900 block W. Butler St. – complainant said two men shot him twice in the right upper arm before fleeing in a Buick LeSabre. Complainant said a friend dropped him off at the hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

1600 block W. Venango St. – complainant said two men robbed her at knife point. Offenders ran off with a pair of gold earrings, a necklace and a ring.

1700 block W. Hunting Park Ave. (Simon Gratz High School) – complainant said a male teacher threw her to the ground inside a classroom. Complainant said she had surgery to repair a broken left wrist and thumb.

1500 block W. Allegheny Ave. – 32″ flat screen TV, phone, Nintendo DS 3D and two games were stolen from the property.

January 10, 2011

3900 block Elser St. – a teenager was shot in the head. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he is listed in serious critical condition.

2400 block W. Somerset St. – complainant said her ex-boyfriend followed her to a corner store and shot and her twice. Offender fled the scene. Complainant was not injured in the incident.

January 11, 2011

300 block Earlham Terrace – various tools were stolen from a 1995 Ford Ranger between 2-5 p.m.

3500 block N. 15th St. – three DeWalt saws, DeWalt drill, Makita drill, Craftsman compressor, miter saw and more stolen from the property.

1800 block W. Atlantic St. – washing machine, cabinet and five metal heat vents were stolen from the property.

2100 block W. Venango St. – desktop computer stolen from the property.

4400 block N. 18th St. – complainant said a known offender attempted to rape her.

4200 block N. Sydenham St. – Adidas gym bag, clothes, pad lock, Xbox 360 and a Toshiba laptop were stolen from the property.

January 12, 2011

2900 block N. 21st St. – complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint. Offenders took the complainant’s keys and cell phone.
