March 17; 2800 block Broad St. – complainant said six men jumped him shortly after getting off the train at the location. One of the offenders held a knife to the complainant, while the others stole several items. The group fled the scene with a pair of Timberland boots, Sean Jean jacket, Dickie pants and a shirt.

March 11, 2011

4300 block N. Carlisle St. – complainant said someone stole his handgun from a mattress between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. He added that his front door is defective and cannot be locked.

3500 block N. 22nd St. – 2002 Cadillac Deville stolen between 10 p.m. March 10 and 7 a.m. March 11.

2700 block N. 22nd St. – handgun and license to carry stolen from the property. Complainant said he last saw the items around 6 p.m. March 10.

2800 block N. 22nd St. – complainant said a fellow student pulled her hair from behind and pointed a small handgun to her stomach. Offender let go of the complainant after warning that if she got him beat up, he would shoot her. The incident started with a verbal dispute on the bus.

March 12, 2011

200 block Winona St. – 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis stolen. Complainant had recently purchased the car from his brother.

1700 block W. Tioga St. – complainant said three men entered his store and robbed him a gunpoint. Offenders ran off with $1,000 worth of cash and merchandise.

2600 block Roberts Ave. – 70 cassettes and 40 CDS stolen from a 1994 Cadillac Deville between 6 p.m. March 11 and 5:45 p.m March 12.

2700 block N. Ringgold St. – three power saws, two drills, a roll of copper pipe and a heater were stolen from the property. Complainant said the offenders entered through a rear window.

March 13, 2011

2100 block W. Lehigh Ave. – complainant said someone stole her purse while she was at church. She said she had placed the purse next to her and that it was gone minutes later. The bag contained $600, keys and various credit cards.

3300 block Stokley St. – police arrived on location to find two men loading metal shelving into a Ford pickup truck.  The offenders were arrested and the items were returned.

March 14, 2011

500 block Manheim St. – washing machine top stolen from the property. A maintenance worker at the apartment building said he noticed the item missing around 4 p.m. March 11. The top contained a coin box with $300.

1900 block W. Sedgley Ave. – cell phone, $200 and various ID and credit cards stolen from a car between 2 and 3 a.m. March 12. Complainant said the items were taken from a pocketbook she left inside the car.

3200 block N. 17th St. – three rolls of attic insulation stolen from the property. Police saw, stopped and arrested two men pushing a blue shopping cart with three rolls of insulation.

March 15, 2011

1900 block Dalkeith St. – complainant said she was raped. She refused to cooperate with police.

1400 block W. Indiana Ave. – 2001 Pontiac Sunfire stolen between 12:30 and 1 p.m. March 14. Complainant said she went into the bank and when she came out the car was gone. She said the keys may have been in the car at the time.

2900 block N. Bailey St. – living room set, tools, televisions, computers, clothes and cash stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken between 5 p.m. Feb. 25 and 4:45 a.m. March 7.

March 16, 2011

4400 block Clarissa St. – copper brass hanger rods stolen from the location. SEPTA employee said someone cut a hole in the fence, cut a lock off an outside storage trailer and took the items. Complainant said the area was unattended at the time.

3700 block N. 16th St. – 52” flat screen TV stolen from the property between 12:30 p.m. March 15 and 1:30 a.m. March 16. Complainant said his front window was opened. Window does not lock.

1700 block W. Juniata St. – Motorola cable box and cash register stolen from the property between 3 p.m. March 9 and 10:45 a.m. March 16. Complainant said she came home to find the back door forced open and the entire property ransacked.

1600 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – radio cover and two iPods stolen from a 2003 Buick.

2300 block W. Indiana Ave. – police responded to a report of a shooting in the area. Police were met by a man who was shot in the right thigh. Complainant said he could not identify the offender. Complainant was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.

March 17, 2011

3500 block Vaux St.  – complainant said someone stole 60’ of copper gutter stolen from the property. A witness said she saw an unknown man on a ladder at least a month before the incident. The witness assumed the complainant hired the man to work on the gutter.

3000 block W. Coulter St. – jewelry case containing various jewelry was stolen from the property between 12 and 10 p.m. March 16.  Complainant said the item was stolen from a middle drawer and that a pillow case was missing.

1500 block W. Tioga St. – radio remote stolen from a 2005 Chevy Cobalt between 3 and 6 p.m. March 17.

One of the offenders held a knife to the complainant, while the others stole several items. The group fled the scene with a pair of Timberland boots, Sean Jean jacket, Dickie pants and a shirt.

1400 block W. Lehigh Ave. – complainant said he was jumped by a group of men and knocked unconscious. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was treated for bruises and swelling to the head and arms.
