$3 million in funding secured for Norristown Area School District

    The Norristown Area School District has been awarded a little over $3 million in funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

    According to The Times Herald, the money Will be spent at Norristown Area High School to implement the “PATHS to Excellence” program, which aims to improve academics in the classroom and increase proficient and advanced levels on PSSA exams.

    The school district’s grants and public relations manager tells The Times Herald the district learned it had been awarded the funding on Thursday.

    The $3,070,499 million grant is not related to the district’s budget and is not eligible to be used to supplement the budget.
