3 cars on 23-car freight train derail in Bucks County; no injuries reported

    Investigators are surveying the scene of a train derailment in Sellersville, Pennsylvania.

    According to WPVI, “three rail cars have derailed, tipping over on the side of the tracks.”

    The derailment occurred around 3 p.m.

    The borough of Perkasie said the refrigerated box cars that overturned were carrying butter, the Associated Press reports, and said there were no injuries to the train crew.

    “Authorities were asking residents not to approach the scene of the derailment because “there can be many hazards related to an incident of this nature.” There was no immediate word on what may have caused the derailment.”

    No evacuations from neighboring homes or businesses have been ordered.
