The Republican challenger to Governor Tom Wolf is now known as Scott Wagner easily won his party’s nomination, but statewide the biggest news is the loss of Lt. Governor Mike Stack to Braddock mayor Tom Fetterman who will face Republican Jeff Bartos. Republican Lou Barletta won the right to face incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Casey in November

Primaries for the Democrats for U.S. Congress showed little trouble for several well known candidates in most districts but several surprises included a win for attorney Mary Scanlon in the hotly contested District 5 while State Representative Madeline Dean is the party’s nominee in District 4.  In a big night for women candidates, former Allentown city solicitor Susan Wild won easily.

The GOP races went mostly according to expert predictions.

Here are complete results from all the key races.
